Our Story

Headwaters Health was born out of change. We saw firsthand how healthcare was shifting — becoming less about people and more about systems. Patients were too often treated like numbers, and providers found themselves weighed down by pressures that left little room for genuine care. We knew there had to be a better way.

Our name reflects that belief. Just as the headwaters of a river mark the beginning of a stream, Headwaters Health represents the start of a new flow of healing. For us as providers, that healing comes from stepping away from a system where outside demands overshadowed the oath we took to put people first. For our patients, it means finding care that values them as neighbors, not numbers. And for our community, it represents a return to care rooted in trust, compassion, and decisions that are guided by doing what’s truly best for every family we serve.
